Major Arcana · card XIV

Temperance

balance, blending, moderation

Reading it upright

An angel pours water between two cups, one foot on land and one in a pool. The card is about mixing opposites into something that works and taking the middle path.

Reading it reversed

Reversed, things are out of proportion: too much work, too little rest, or the wrong mix.

Journal prompt

What in my routine needs a better balance?

Study tip. Draw Temperance on purpose, set it in front of you, and write three things you can literally see in the picture before you look at any notes. Your own observations will stay with you longer than a keyword list.

Notes on this site are a starting point. Different decks and readers interpret cards differently, and a reading is never a substitute for professional advice.
